Maintenance

Maintenance is an important determining factor for the life span of an object. High-quality periodic maintenance can even extend the life span quite considerably. This philosophy also applies to adhesives and sealants. 

Bostik has drawn up a number of guidelines in order to keep the maintenance of adhesive bonds and seals to a minimum and extend the life span.

• Regularly check and clean the bond or seal.

• Immediately take action in case of minor damage such as a small crack or the adhesive bond 
  coming undone in places. Over time this minor damage can lead to serious cracks or 
  detachments.

• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents (acids/caustic solutions) without contacting Simson 
  first. Lists which set out the resistance of all products to chemicals are available upon request.

• Always ensure that there is sufficient ventilation.
