Welding Week Trade Show

In the context of the four-yearly trade show “Welding Week”, the Flemish Plastics Centre organised a theme day, “INNOVATIVE TRENDS IN ADHESIVE TECHNOLOGY” from 18 to 21 October. Welding Week is an exhibition that provides an overview of the current offerings in the Benelux of products (equipment, substances, chemicals) and services that can be employed for welding, joining and cutting metals and plastics.

Bostik was asked to offer its cooperation to this theme day and therefore made a presentation: SMP BONDING: THE SUSTAINABLE BONDING TECHNOLOGY.

The presentation was made by Bostik employee Tom Janssen, Industrial Product Manager.

During the presentation, more information was provided about adhesives and sealants based on SMP polymers. Besides explanations about the different characteristics of SMP adhesives and sealants, the emphasis was put on sustainable bonding with SMP-based adhesives. In this way it was clear to the participants that SMP adhesives possess many possibilities. Bostik expects that this relatively new, yet green jointing technology will be used in more and more different markets.

Bostik therefore considers it important that different markets become familiar with this technology, for which the theme day was an ideal way to bring this across.
